8. Silkies are extremely fluffy chickens. The Chinese name for the Silkie is wu-gu-ji – meaning black-boned. An alternative name for this bird is the Chinese Silk Chicken. The evidence points quite strongly to Chinese origin, but it cannot be stated with complete certainty.
