Hello! We are here with some important news. Did you know that baby porcupines are also called porcupettes? In line with a statement from the Chicago Zoo, Lucia, a 9-year-old porcupine, gave birth to a baby porcupette on March 19. Well, now you do and your life is better for it.

After monitoring the mother-baby pair for a period of time after the porcupette's birth, it became clear to the zoo that Lucia was not going to allow the baby to nurse from her. To replace the mom's maternal instincts, the zoo stepped in and started caring for and bottle-feeding the baby porcupine.
