Adorable Rescue Cat Who Looks Like Baby Yoda Goes Viral

Photos of an adorable cat, that shares a striking resemblance to Baby Yoda, have gone viral. The little cutie was spotted by veterinary assistant Jana Aviles, who couldn't resist taking a few snaps when the cat arrived at the North Carolina veterinary hospital she works at.

Jana also used the post's viral reach to point out some shocking statistics, writing that 4 million stray cats are brought into shelters every year in the US and, of these, 1.4 million cats are euthanized every year due to lack of homes. Heartbreaking stuff, eh? Jana added: "Everyone please check your local shelters. I guarantee you that your new best friend is waiting for you as I type this.
