Meet The White-headed Pigeon – The Most Beautiful Pigeon In The World (13 Pics)

The pigeon's habitat is from Cooktown, Queenstown to southern New South Wales. It can commonly be found in tropical regions, subtropical rainforest, scrub, watercourses and street trees. Since colonisation of Australia, their numbers have decreased but they have thrived on the introduced camphor laurel.

The seasonal abundance of White-headed Pigeons in Brisbane shows a notable level of variation, with a marked decline in reporting rate over the year. Peak reporting rate is in February (at just under 2% of all complete checklists), and drops off steadily until November-December, when the reporting rate is well under 1%.
