Ohio Judge Is Fed Up With Animal Mistreatment – He Punishes The Owners With A Taste Of Their Own Medicine

One animal-loving judge is doling out some strange sentences to repeat animal abusers in Ohio to creatively encourage them to change their behaviors. Judge Michael Cicconetti presides over all manner of cases in his hometown of Painesville, OH and he is known for his creative judgment calls all over the country.

While the common approach didn't seemed to work, he found a really creative way to sentence people who don't treat animals well. For instance, one woman found herself in Cicconetti's courtroom after her dog was found living in unsuitable conditions. The judge concluded would fit for the owner to spend a day as her dog did. "I want you to go down to the county dump, to the landfill, and I want them to find the stinkiest, smelliest, God-awful place they can find in that dump," the judge said. " I want you to sit there for eight hours tomorrow, to think about what you did to that dog while you smell the odor. If you puke, you puke."
