One animal-loving judge is doling out some strange sentences to repeat animal abusers in Ohio to creatively encourage them to change their behaviors. Judge Michael Cicconetti presides over all manner of cases in his hometown of Painesville, OH and he is known for his creative judgment calls all over the country.

Another offender had abandoned 35 kittens in the woods. So Judge Cicconetti gave her jail time, a fine, and ordered her to spend one night in the woods by herself. "How would you like to be dumped off at a metro park late at night, spend the night listening to the coyotes … listening to the raccoons around you in the dark night, and sit out there in the cold not knowing where you're going to get your next meal, not knowing when you are going to be rescued?, " Mr. Cicconetti said.
