Photographer Spends Hours In Open Waters To Capture Exquisite Moments of Glass-Like Waves

If you are interested in photography, this photo series of the wave is going to make your head spin. Shot by Tahiti-based photographer, Ben Thouard, the waves he works with as his canvas appear like glass, large creatures that stand still, though they are actually shot in movement.



He discovered photography at the age of 15 and started shooting his friends who surfed. After learning photography basics in Toulon, Ben then studied in a photography school in Paris, He managed to achieve his dreams of travelling to Hawaii and shooting images. During the next couple of years, he traveled the world alongside professionals in search of photogenic landscapes and waves that has never been surfed before. At 22, he decided to move to Tahiti. Ben quickly made Teahupo'o's famous wave his backyard and his favorite place to shoot.
