The youngest of four brothers and six sisters, Boyle grew up in a large family. In West Lothian, Scotland, the family occupied a council house. Susan is still a resident of that residence. Instead of buying a Beverly Hills mansion or moving to a tropical island, she bought the four-bedroom house she grew up in in Blackburn, Scotland, and renovated it into her ideal home.
