This Bird Has Unique Feet That Look Like Feathers (11 Pics)
There are around 18,000 species of birds in the world. And we mostly know about the most popular ones. But this time let’s look at a unique bird that you’ve probably never heard of. It’s called a Coot and it’s too cool.
The American Coot (Fulica Americana) or Mud Hen, is a fascinating and unique bird. The Coot is a medium-sized waterbird that is often found in ponds, marshes, and reservoirs. They are sometimes referred to as a cross between a chicken and a duck, as on land they waddle in a similar manner to a chicken, and on water they swim and feed like a duck, reports All About Birds. Although it enjoys being on land occasionally, it spends the majority of its time in the water.
