The academy, based in Vienna, Austria, has upheld the Renaissance tradition of classical horsemanship, known as the High School, for over 450 years. The princess, a long-time supporter of the school, was accompanied by notable figures such as model Lady Victoria Hervey and influencer Chuggs Wallis, along with thousands of fans in the audience.

The performances featured the majestic white Lipizzaner horses, adorned in gold bridles, showcasing the elegant movements of the High School, including the Long Rein and the School Quadrille. Princess Anne has been involved with the school for decades, visiting its training base multiple times. During one memorable visit in 1969, she rode alongside her mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, on the famed Lipizzaner horses.

Queen Camilla also had the opportunity to witness a performance by the academy during a European tour in 2017. The event was hosted by radio and TV presenter Nicki Chapman, who expressed her excitement: "It was an absolute honor to host the opening night of the Spanish Riding School’s UK tour with The Princess Royal in attendance. It’s been eight years since these extraordinary horses and riders last performed in the UK, and sharing the magic with both the Princess Royal and the audience made it a night to remember."

After completing their shows in London, the academy will head to Aberdeen for performances at P&J Live on October 25, 26, and 27, marking their first visit to Scotland.
